Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA)

The Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) is Australia’s leading professional association for financial advisers, and advocates for the interests of financial advisers and their clients across the country.

The FAAA was formed in April 2023, from a merger of the Financial Planning Association of Australia Limited (FPA) and the Association of Financial Advisers Limited (AFA). The FPA and the AFA were the two largest and longest-standing associations of financial planners and advisers in Australia. Our history as a combined association dates back over 75 years.

The FAAA offers the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification program exclusively in Australia, with almost 5,000 current members.

Österreichischer Verband Financial Planners (OVFP)

Established in 2000, Österreichischer Verband Financial Planners  is a nonprofit, professional standards-setting organization supported by the financial services sector in Austria, including banking, insurance and independent financial consultants, as well as the legal profession and academicians.

Planejar – Associação Brasileira de Planejamento Financeiro

The mission of Planejar – Associação Brasileira de Planejamento Financeiro is to promote the highest professional and ethical standards in the field of financial planning. A self-regulatory organization, Planejar administers the CFP certification program to meet the growing financial planning needs of the Brazilian marketplace.

FP Canada

A national professional body working in the public interest, FP Canada^TM; is dedicated to championing better financial wellness for all Canadians by leading the advancement of professional financial planning in Canada. There are approximately 19,000 professional financial planners in Canada who, through CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification and QUALIFIED ASSOCIATE FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM certification, meet FP Canada’s standards.

Financial Planning Standards Board China Ltd. (Shanghai)

FPSB China is the marks licensing authority for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification program in mainland China. FPSB China also offers the ASSOCIATE FINANCIAL PLANNER, EXECUTIVE FINANCIAL PLANNER, and CERTIFIED PRIVATE BANKER certification programs, which are accredited by FPSB.

Financial Planning Association of Taiwan (FPAT)

The Financial Planning Association of Taiwan is a nonprofit organization that was formed, with approval from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, by a group of quasi-government organizations, leading educational institutes in financial services training and education, leading global and local financial services companies, and leading financial services industry executives and professionals. FPAT’s goal is to enhance the professional standards of financial planning practitioners and educate the public about the importance of personal financial planning.

FPSB Ltd.

Association Francaise des Conseils en Gestion de Patrimoine Certifiés (CGPC)

Founded in 1997, Association Francaise des Conseils en Gestion de Patrimoine Certifiés is an independent national association and certification body for financial planning in France. CGPC is dedicated to raising standards of financial planning, for raising consumer awareness of the value of financial planning and working with a CFP professional, and for promoting its membership as the most qualified and reliable financial planners in France.

Financial Planning Standards Board Deutschland e.V. (FPSB Deutschland)

Founded in 1997, FPSB Deutschland administers the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification program, and develops and supervises quality standards for professional training and education, qualification requirements, and ethical and practice standards for CFP professionals in Germany.

Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong Ltd. (IFPHK)

A nonprofit self-regulatory organization founded in June 2000, The Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong fosters professional standards in personal financial planning to benefit the public. IFPHK grants the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification to qualified financial planning professionals in Hong Kong and Macau, and is committed to promoting the CFP designation as the symbol of excellence in financial planning.

FPSB India

FPSB India is the leading financial planning body in India and is dedicated to establishing, upholding and promoting professional standards in financial planning throughout India. FPSB India offers the globally recognized CFP certification, which represents excellence in financial planning through rigorous competency and ethical standards. FPSB India is the Indian subsidiary of Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd., the global standards-setting body for the financial planning profession and owner of the international CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification program.

Financial Planning Standards Board Indonesia (FPSB Indonesia)

Established in 2006, FPSB Indonesia is a nonprofit organization offering the REGISTERED FINANCIAL PLANNER and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER designations. FPSB Indonesia holds the LSP-P (Professional Certification Body – Proficiency) from BNSP (Indonesian Professionals Certification Authority), a governmental body in charge of certifying professionals. FPSB Indonesia operates to benefit consumers and establish financial planning as a profession in Indonesia.

FPSB Ireland Ltd.

Financial Planning Standards Board Ireland Limited (“FPSB Ireland”) is a professional standards-setting body, set up by Life Insurance Association Ireland Limited (“LIA”) and the Institute of Bankers in Ireland to proactively guide the development and promotion of standards for financial planning professionals to benefit and protect the public. FPSB Ireland offers the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification program to professionalize financial planners in Ireland.

Japan Association for Financial Planners (JAFP)

A membership and certification/standards-setting body, the Japan Association for Financial Planners was established in November 1987, and introduced CFP certification to Japan in May 1992. JAFP’s purpose is to promote financial planning to the general public and to support practitioners in their journey to become financial planners.

Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM)

Formed in 1999, FPAM is a nonprofit organization with a mission to raise the standards of competency and ethical practice of qualified financial planners in Malaysia, and to educate the public on the benefits of financial planning. FPAM offers the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification, and represents individuals from diverse financial services sectors, including insurance, unit trusts, banking, legal services, securities, accounting services, and asset management.

Federatie Financieel Planners (Federation of Financial Planners)

The Federation of Financial Planners (FFP) is the professional organization for financial planners in The Netherlands, and offers the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification program in addition to the FFP quality mark.With approximately 4,000 members, the FFP is the largest European organization of financial planners. FPSB Nederland, which first offered CFP certification in the territory in 2009, merged with FFP in 2015.

FPSB International Korea Co., Ltd.

FPSB International Korea Co., Ltd. is the certification and standards-setting body for financial planning in the Republic of Korea, and administers the territory’s CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification program. FPSB International Korea’s mission is to improve the professionalism of the financial services industry and benefit and protect the public by upholding rigorous standards for financial planners.

Financial Planning Association of Singapore (FPAS)

Established in 1998, the Financial Planning Association of Singapore (FPAS) is a nonprofit professional association dedicated to developing and promoting the provision of unbiased financial advice to the Singaporean public. FPAS, which offers the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER designation, has received overwhelming support from many of the largest financial institutions in Singapore.

Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa (FPI)

The Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa is the leading, independent representative body of professional financial planners in South Africa. The FPI works to ensure that South Africans have access to the services of competent, ethical financial planners who will place their interests first. Many top financial institutions have adopted the FPI as an independent standards partner, and FPI members include both general practitioners and specialists in particular branches of financial planning.

Swiss Financial Planners Organization (SFPO)

The Swiss Financial Planners Organization is a credentialing, licensing, standards-setting and disciplinary body with a mission to benefit and protect the public by: setting the qualification for initial professional certification; protecting the CFP certification mark and the service marks CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and CFP ® in Switzerland; enhancing the professionalism of those engaged in the exercise and pursuit of personal financial planning; informing the public about ongoing national and international financial planning issues; and lobbying governmental entities in the field of financial planning.

Thai Financial Planners Association (TFPA)

The Thai Financial Planners Association (TFPA) is a nonprofit regulatory organization that sets high professional standards and an ethical framework for financial planning practitioners in Thailand. The organization, established as an association under the Ministry of Commerce, through the collaboration of The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and the Thai Financial Planners Club (The Club), offers the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification program.

Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI)

The Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) is the professional body of choice for professionals in the securities and investment industry in the U.K. and in a growing number of major financial centers globally. The Institute of Financial Planning (IFP), which served as the founding Member of FPSB in the U.K., merged with Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) in November 2015. CISI now administers the CFP certification program in the U.K. Its goal is to bring the highest standards of professionalism to all areas of the financial services industry and provide additional strength and an even greater presence in the financial planning sector.

CFP Board

CFP Board is a nonprofit organization acting in the public interest by fostering professional standards in personal financial planning through its setting and enforcement of the education, examination, experience, ethics and other requirements for CFP certification. Our mission is to benefit the public by granting the CFP ® certification and upholding it as the recognized standard of excellence for competent and ethical personal financial planning. CFP Board owns the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, CFP and CFP marks in the United States.

Financial Planners Association in Israel (FPAI)

Established in October 2011, FPAI, formerly known as the Union of Financial Planners in Israel (UFPI), partners with FPSB to offer CFP certification in Israel. FPAI’s mission is to support financial professionals in learning the right abilities, skills and knowledge to deliver competent, ethical financial planning to clients.
